I create pictures that evoke memories of places, journeys and forgotten feelings. You feel the emotion of the piece before you think about it consciously. The pictures reference childhood memories of places and events, combined with more recent visits and experiences.
My personal development as an artist has been a long journey too. I was thrown out of Art Class at school at 14, and pursued an academic education through University, entered a multi-national corporate organisation and spent 22 very happy and productive years there.
But Art was always, and continues to be, my passion. After many years of visiting galleries and reading about art, I started to unlock my own creativity. I learned to draw and paint. Finding Art was taking more and more of my energy, I took the momentous decision in May 2015 to resign and work full-time as an artist. My journey is moving rapidly, with several successful shows already, winning awards and a first solo show planned for later this year.
